We are so proud to have Ms. Tracie Souve as Dr. Soroudi's wonderful registered nurse and surgical coordinator. Tracie has been an operating- and recovery room nurse for the past 15 years with great experience in both fields of plastic surgery and ophthalmology.

All of our patients have the luxury of meeting with Tracie prior to their upcoming procedure and have all their questions answered in detail; this has truly helped all our patient undergo surgery with utmost comfort, confidence, and in a relaxed state of mind.

Testimonials

I'm a yoga instructor who has had very high astigmatism in both eyes since early childhood. Needless to say, I have hated wearing glasses all my life. Because of my 7 Diopters of Astigmatism, I have had to wear RGP contact lenses for years, and every optometrist (and general ophthalmologist) I had seen before told me there’s “no way” I could have refractive surgery until I came to see you.

Glaucoma Surgery with Tube-Shunt implantation

Dr. Soroudi is particularly adept and experienced to perform complicated glaucoma operations in those whose eyes do not respond to either drops or laser treatment. Through his experience as a chief resident working at the county hospital with a high volume of patients who suffer from severe glaucoma, he has performed so many operations on patients with even the most aggressive cases of retractable glaucoma.

In a select population of patients with high eye pressures that do not respond to non-surgical modalities, Dr. Soroudi implants special Valves that help reduce severe ocular hypertension.

Glaucoma (ICE Syndrome)

The eye of a patient with an extremely rare form of Glaucoma (ICE Syndrome) with a pressure of 65 (normal pressure is up to 21mmHg) prior to surgery (left) Vs. The same eye the day after Valve Surgery with a pressure of 14mmHg. Notice the small plastic tube inside the eye on the right.

If you suffer from severe glaucoma, please make an appointment for a complete evaluation. Dr. Soroudi will discuss all of your treatment options with you during your consultation.
