Testimonials
Thank you so much for helping me see 20/10 (twice better than 20/20) after having to use contacts throughout my medical school and residency years.

“Bladeless” Upper Eyelid Lift (Blepharoplasty)
The appearance of our eyes is the first thing people notice when look at us. Heavy “droopy” upper eyelids with excessive, “saggy” skin & prolapsed fat can not only take many years off the youthfulness of our appearance, but can also lead to constant eye straining, fatigue, as well as decreased peripheral and superior vision (sort of like sitting in a restaurant with a shade over the balcony preventing a good view to the clear sky above.
Dr. Soroudi possesses the necessary technology to actually check how your droopy eyelids are affecting your visual field and predict how this surgery will improve your vision. If your droopy eyelids are severe enough to be causing visual problems, a blepharoplasty procedure may be fully covered by your medical insurance.

From a cosmetic standpoint, eyelid surgery is probably the most effective way to improve one’s appearance and take years off the way they look. Unlike a full “face-lift” which changes the way people look, cosmetic eyelid surgery preserves one’s appearance, but helps them look so much younger; people who undergo successful eyelid surgery often express they look and feel a lot more youthful, rested, and overall, happier with the image they see in the mirror every morning. From a visual standpoint, by lifting the droopy skin (“shade”) from their eyelids, they express “immediate” improvement in their superior and peripheral visual field and feel the “world looks brighter.”

Dr. Soroudi specializes in minimally invasive (BLADELESS) cosmetic AND functional eyelid plastic surgery (oculoplastic surgery), which includes upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty, Ptosis repair, Entropion and Ectropion repair. His philosophy about cosmetic eyelid surgery is that people who undergo eyelid surgery should look “natural,” but younger and more rested; he does not approve of operations where people’s eyes become smaller, round, or stretched, and needless to say, he routinely repairs these sorts of complications.

Dr. Soroudi has performed over 600 blepharoplasty procedures to date, and a high percentage of his oculoplastic practice involves doing revisional surgery for those who have already undergone eyelid surgery by other doctors (usually general plastic surgeons, dermatologists, and “cosmetic” surgeons) with poor results.
Dr. Soroudi performs ALL his eyelid surgeries under local anesthesia with mild sedation as he feels there is NO reason to undergo the risks of general anesthesia/heavy sedation for this quick & easy procedure which he does without even giving his patients a bruise! Dr. Soroudi’s eyelid plastic surgery patients enjoy quick, painless recoveries with minimal swelling, redness, and post-operative pain, with beautiful “natural” results.
If you suffer from droopy eyelids, make an appointment to see Dr. Soroudi; he will discuss all your options in great detail during your consultation.
