Testimonials
I had already seen 4 prominent eye surgeons in Beverly Hills before I was referred to you for another opinion regarding Cataract Surgery. I must say that, after meeting with these surgeons, I was hesitant to come to such a young doctor, but you had been very highly recommended by a few friends.
Dr. Sid S., DMD, Oral Surgeon
Beverly Hills Lasik surgeon
The Beverly Hills Lasik surgeon is the one medical eye surgeon who understands how quickly a patient’s life can be drastically altered when that patient is finally able to see clearly again while leaving the pain behind. Patients soon learn just how life changing the entire procedure can be on their lives and yet it is not a very complicated means of correction. Most of the time, the patients are permitted to remain awake and alert and will only receive a mild medication to alleviate the initial surgical pain. There are other times when patients are more sensitive or remain uneasy that the medical eye surgeon will suggest a more powerful medication in order to protect the patient from causing any mishaps during the delicate eye surgery. Once the medical procedure is in place and the patient has been sedated the actual time of the eye surgery will only take a short amount of time, which is usually a surprising experience for the patient.
Once the patient is fully awake, the medical eye surgeon will write out a medical prescription for eye drops that are usually to prevent any possible infection that can occur. The patient may be required to wear dark sunglass while outside in the bright California sun. The Beverly Hills Lasik surgeon will recommend that the patient get plenty of rest and spend the remaining time for the week readjusting to a new life when vision will be even better than it was before the eye surgery was performed. Most of the time the standard procedures will be in place for every patient that entertains the thought of eye surgery, but when the actual procedure takes place the medical eye surgeon must be prepared for whatever may happen, as the medical eye surgeon is the one who is in charge of the situation. Depending upon the type and severity of the initial surgery performed the patient needs to understand there are times when the entire eye and the area of the face around the eye will swell and turn black and blue. The patient may be so swollen they will not be able to open their eye for a few days, but remember that this will all pass as the eye heals.
Once the eye is healed, you will slowly regain your sight as the swelling is reduced. Some patients heal sooner than others do, but what is most important is for the patient to understand everyone is different. As long as in the end the eye heals properly, nothing else will be of any importance. The Beverly Hills Lasik surgeon understands that most procedures are a three-step process beginning with the stroma, the excimer, and finally the stromal layer. These are the different procedural steps that must take place in order for the laser to reach its intended target to correct the injustice to the eye and guarantee surgical success. This is all meant to revolve around the flap from the corneal tissue and the eye surgery must be completed in record time in order for the corneal eye tissue to remain moist. When the eye surgery begins to go over the time limit aloud, the patient is at risk of the delicate corneal tissue drying which will cause more problems down the road. The patient’s eyesight will continue to be blurry initially, but this too will pass as the eye continues to heal.
